David Droga, the new Global CEO of Accenture Interactive, is not only one of the most awarded creatives in LIONS history, but also the youngest recipient of The Lion of St. Mark. Here’s a look back at his inspiring acceptance speech, which deservedly earned a standing ovation.

The Lion of St. Mark is an award given each year at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity for a lifetime of services to creativity in communication. Other recipients include Sir John Hegarty, Mary Wells Lawrence, and Dan Wieden.

David Droga is not only one of the most awarded creatives at Cannes Lions, but the youngest recipient of the Lion of St. Mark – having won his first Lion aged 19 at Sydney hotshop OMON, and having achieved more than 90 Golds and over 25 combined Grand Prix / Agency of the Year / Titanium awards in his career to date.

Join us in revisiting his speech from 2017, that not only saw the audience come to their feet, but continues to serve as a rallying cry, full of invaluable advice, for those seeking a flourishing and long career in creativity.

‘I have worked with more talented people and had more opportunites than one creative person deserves. The Lion St. Mark is beyond my wildest ambitions. It’s incredible to be recognised with this, when you still feel you have so much more to do and prove.’
